New Bodegas on the Way

Alicante Province seems set to play the host to at least eight new wine bodegas, after several years of poor wine sales. The new bodegas are the result of considerable foreign interest in Alicante wines according to Francisco Amoros, the President of the Alicante Wine Association. These new bodegas are to be set up in the most part near Villena and Salinas, where the total area given over to vineyards has increased from 13,600 hectares two years ago to 14,857 currently.
