This is a great find, nestled in a corner position opposite the Xativa Cathedral.
Takes a pride in winning awards for its versions of traditional dishes - such as Arroz al Horno (over baked rice) - and the wine list is good. A very relaxed and rustic ambience and attentive, friendly service makes this a great place for a very leisurely meal.
The word "forca" means fork - it may refer to the farm implements which are scattered around the restaurant, or it may refer to the "forca" used by those who build the giant fires (La Foguera) of Canals. Rumour has it that the father of the owner (and head chef) was once a Foguerer. If you find out, please let us know.
Update 2005/05/28 - treated a party of 8 to lunch and was not disappointed - the food itself was better than ever - and the wine (especially the Icono from La Font de la Figuera - we chose the Cabernet Sauvignon which is smooth and full bodied) was the perfect antidote to a hard morning in Xativa ;)
