They say that the Benicarló artichoke is the best of the best and certainly the fiestas in its honour are in the same league as the taste of this special vegetable. They begin with an exhibition of posters in the San Francesc Arts Centre and then an evening with the gastronomic journalist Pere Tŕpias who will be reciting his songs and poems about, his great hobby, the world of cuisine and cooking. |
On Friday things will liven up with the Gala Supper of the Benicarló Artichoke during which recognition and prizes will be awarded to the farmer José Senar and to the journalist and singer-songwriter Pere Tŕpias.
The Torrá of artichokes on the Saturday, the great tiro y arrastre and the gastronomic demonstration of the Benicarló artichoke on the Sunday, offered by the best restaurants in the province, make up the programme of events for all tastes.
