Cherry Festival
La Vall de Gallinera is in the Marina Alta region, and it is one of the most scenic areas in the province of Alicante. The visitor can find amazing valleys and mountains, castles, fortresses... all just a stone’s throw away from Dénia and Oliva.
This area is famous for its cherry trees, which are the symbol of the valley, producing delicious cherries with the Denomination of Origin Cerezas de la Montaña de Alicante guarantee. The cherry picking season is a good time to pay a visit to la Vall de la Gallinera, as the Festivity of Cherries is held this year on the 16th and 17th of June. This promises to be weekend full of activities with outings, exhibitions, music, street parades, a Fair with homemade gastronomic produce, a giant paella.

SATURDAY 16 JUNE
10,00 _ A walk through La Vall de Gallinera, guided tour.

21,00 - Espaioff Sculpture Worshop Exposition Opening
22,00 _ “Sobaquillo” dinner in the open air (appetizers and drinks invited by the town council).
23,30 _ Cirera Rock.: performance by the music group “DESGAVELL”.
SUNDAY 17 JUNE
09,00 _ Lively march through La Vall de Gallinera accompanied by ”Banda de Música de La Vall d’Ebo”.
11,00 _ The official inauguration of the Craftsmanship-and gastronomy fair.
13,30 _ Performance by the music band of La Vall d’Ebo.
14,30 _ Lunch: Giant paella in the open air prepared by Gigantes Galbis (sale of tickets in the town hall).
18,30 _ “Entertainment and activities for children throughout the streets of Benisili.
