Firework Spectacular in Altea
On 9 August 2008, fire and music will flood the skies and the Altea sea under the attentive gaze of thousands of spectators.
Since 1988, the Bay of Altea has been the venue for the Castell de l'Olla, undoubtedly the most spectacular firework display of the summer. It is traditionally held by the Mediterranean Sea, close to the beach of La Olla, on the Saturday night closest to the festivity of Sant Llorenç (St. Lawrence).
The Castell de l'Olla (L'Olla Fireworks) will light up the sky of Altea on The light from three thousand kilos of fireworks will flood the bay when hundreds of shells are launched simultaneously from floating platforms in front of the beach of l'Olla and also from the islet.
A pyrotechnic spectacular!
The festivities for Sant Llorenc take place from 8-11 August 2008.
