Spanish style party at Regent St Festival (London)

he Regent Street Festival has a Spanish theme for 2006, with 16 Spanish regions coming to the West End for a massive street party. Regent Street will be alive with activity in September, including alfresco dining, music, dance and more.

Join the party at Regent Street
From 12pm – 8pm on the first Sunday in September Regent Street will be closed to traffic and transformed into a huge Spanish street party. A feast of live entertainment and special events will be on the menu throughout the day, with plenty to keep the crowds busy on the day.

A taste of Spain
A selection of 16 Spanish regions will be showcased at the festival, bringing a taste of Spain to Regent Street. From Cantabria to Valencia and back again, the Regent Street Festival 2006 will be a ray of Spanish sunshine in London, in festive, vibrant style.

Music, dance and live entertainment
Festival highlights include bagpipers from Galicia and Asturias, Catalan human towers and Andualusian dancers, who will also be giving lessons. Handicrafts and fashion will also be on display offering a diverse range of attractions on the day. If all that activity leaves you feeling peckish a huge dish of paella will be prepared in authentic Valencia style, to be enjoyed alfresco by the crowds.
