World Tourism Day - Wednesday 27 September 2006
Valencia Tourism is giving a free Valencia Card to visitors to the city.
Valencia Tourism would like to share World Tourism day with tourists visiting the city. The first 500 tourists to turn up at the information office at Plaza de la Reina, 19 will receive a courtesy Valencia Card allowing them to spend a whole day discovering the delights of the city with free travel by bus, metro and tram. It also offers discounts in shops, restaurants, museums and cultural centres, including the City of Arts and Sciences, the Museum of Fine Art, the MUVIM, the IVAM and the Silk Exchange.

Placing The Blame : The Valencian Government yesterday directly blamed the Socialist Government for the drop in foreign tourists in the Valencian Community for the first six months of this year that saw the three main markets – British French and German – drop by 4,6%, 5,2% and 7.6% respectively, whilst the visitors to Spain as a whole rose by 6%.
