Quick glossary "Mascletà" - Incredibly noisy fireworks let off during the daytime to make as much noise as possible. Pure bliss to a firework fan like myself. The Mascletà held each day at 2pm in the town hall square is something that cannot be written about - you simply have to experience it for yourself! "Ninot" - A small part of a Fallas sculpture - typically a human figure of breathtaking detail and craftsmanship. "Plantà" - The installation or "planting" of the Fallas sculptures.

Friday 16 March
22:00 "Cabalgata Folklórica" - a procession celebrating local regional festivities. The route will be: Calle Xàtiva, Marqués de Sotelo, Plaza del Ayuntamiento (town hall square), Plaza del Ayuntamiento (presumably again), Marqués de Sotelo and finally Calle Xàtiva.

Saturday 17 March
09:30 Fallas Awards Ceremony - this time the "big" awards for the "grown-up" Fallas. Including presentation ceremonies, "best lit" and best decorated street contest, playback and Llibrets (explanatory leaflets). All this at the Rostrum installed outside the Town Hall in the Town Hall Square.

19:00 Cabalgata del Fuego (Procesion of Fire) taking the route departing from Calle Ruzafa, Calle Colón and ending in Porta de la Mar.
22:30 Cremà (the burning) of the Childrens´Fallas.

23:00 Cremà (the burning) of the Childrens´Fallas having obtained First Prize in Special Section.
00:00 Cremà  of the Plaza del Ayuntamiento Children´s Falla.
00:30 Cremà  of all the  remaining adult Fallas of Valencia

01:00 Cremà of the adult Falla awarded first prize in the Special Section.
